    I noticed that the svcd(NTSC film) files created by vers. 2.02 are alot smaller than 2.01 and earlier. Is there an explanation for this?

    ae you sure it was the same length as the movie you encoded with 2.01 and movies are diffrenet they can be compressed diffrenetly
