I am new to this software but have used it to convert other file types with ease. I have a sony digital camera that records fairly good quality video clips. It records in MPG format which is not usable with iMovie. I have tried to convert a clip with ffmpegX to all possible file types but nothing happens. All I get in the end is the new file with the correct file type name on the end... but the file size is 0 and the conversion takes only 1 second to complete.
If anyone can help...please.
Thanks

Please post the log (
) in order to look for an error in the conversion.

Stream #0.0: Audio: mp2, 32000 Hz, mono, 64 kb/s
Stream #0.1: Video: mpeg1video, 640x480, 25.00 fps
Codec type mismatch for mapping #0.0 -> #0.0

Audio stream listed before video stream, resulting in a mismatch for mapping. With some files that happens.
Tick the Invert mapping checkbox in the Audio tab. Then try again.
