I have a .avi file which plays fine as a divx disc on my Pioneer DVR-545. But after adding subtitles with ffmpegx I get a black screen. Sound is ok. I’ve already tried numerous things I read here: burning as ISO 9660, burning as DVD-Rom, encoding with mencoder or ffmpeg, ... I allways end up with the same result: the disc is recognized as DIVX but the screen stays black and audio is good. I read something about a passthrough option in ffmpegx, but I can't seem to find that. What am I missing or doing wrong?
