  1. Hi Guys,

I have been backing up copies of discs for a long time using MTR 2.6, however, tonight MTR seems stumped by the DVD 'It's a Wonderful Life- Special Edition". Are there any known reason for this happening with this particular disc.
Thanks in advance and appreciate the great info here.

    Best, ACR

I suppose you're referring to the '60th Anniversary Edition', a release by Paramount Home Video in late 2006. Because of the recent date it could very well incorporate some of the later copy protection tricks that the early 2005 release of MTR 2.6.6 couldn't handle yet.

Go to ripdifferent.com, join the forums (Have patience.
Those folk are paranoid), go into the MTR forum and learn
how to contribute to the Version 3 development effort, which
contribution avails you of the latest beta.

The current beta (3.0r13e) will handle the vast majority of
the new nasty copy protection schemes. The r14 persuasion
is due Real Soon Now and is said to be awesome. No matter.
If you contribute to the development (any*amount), you can
get the current version and any future versions.

Point taken, Lawnman. You're not paranoid if they ARE out to get you.

Nobody is Paranoid over at www.Ripdifferent.com, if we were it would be a closed forum by invite only.
