I'm using a Mac G4 with Virtual PC. I need to Rip a DVD file to edit in Adobe Premiere and/or Final Cut Pro to later be burned using iDVD. Is the process different for a MAC? Should I use Virtual PC and rip with Smart Ripper? Once I have the .vob file should I then use DVD2AVI to get a .d2v file? Can I edit the .d2v file in Premiere or do I need to do something else?

Basically all I need to do is
    1. rip
    2. edit
    3. burn
    Thanks,

    John

Try DVDExtractor 0.9b. This is freeware that allows you to copy (rip) the DVD to your desktop (so you can watch it without any delay), and you can change the regioncode!

Go to http://www.riphelp.com/downloads/dvdextractor.html for a free download.

    Good luck
