  1. Hi everyone and I hope your New Year is going the way you wanted it. Ok my problem is that when i convert an avi file to mpg to go onto my dvd the widescreen picture is very thin the height seems to be half of what a widescreen usually is i convert the avi file using winavi video convertor and then convert the mpg file to fit on my dvd using tmpgenc.
Any ideas and thanks for taking the time out to read my post

Maybe just a wiiiiiiiiiiiiidescreen video, like 2:35 or wider. What is the source video frame size/resolution?

Or try convert with something else than winavi like tmpgenc xpress, convertxtodvd.

Is it 16:9 on 4:3 matte (e.g you alredy have black borders as part of the video)? .........or does the aspect look correct when you play it on the TV (e.g round objects are round)?
