How can I compress an mpeg2 file I rendered in Vegas5 without loosing quality?
My current file is like 5.1g and I want to make it 4.7g.

You can't, not without losing quality. But ReJig can shrink mpg down in a manner similar to what DVDShring does to a Video DVD. I think the quality loss will be very small (but there will be some...)

If you want top quality, calculate the needed bitrate in https://www.videohelp.com/calc
then use those settings in the Vegas "Render As...MPeg2"
For single pass add some safety margin. File size varies.
To get a precise file size, use "two pass".Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
