Look to the left: You'll need to author the DVD. The guides are there for many different software combinations.

To the left of this page under LISTS click on tools.

Now click on tool features, from the list choose AVI to DVD, click search.

    22 tools shown.

    Pick the tool you want.

Under the rate column pick guides to learn how to use it.

bill99: If you do have a DVD player that allows you to play DivX/Xvid AVIs from a data disc (which player is it?), run the AVIs for which your player is only playing the sound through the latest version (2.60 RC1, I believe) of GSpot, and see which video codec they're using, as well as whether or not they have GMC, QPEL, or packed bitstream. DVD players that play DivX/Xvid videos are usually a lot more picky about the details of the videos than a computer will be.

    I used convertXtoDVD.

It worked but the audio and video are slightly out of sync

AVI ReComp should fix the AVI files to make them more compatible with your player.
