I just installed my older version of copytodvd to my new pc, I typed in my registry key and all was fine. I then realized that I had been using not the one I installed but a later version. So I installed that one, but now it says that I am unregestered and it doesn't allow me to type in my key. It is copytodvd 3.0.45. it should work just as I installed it, because that's how I did it on my older pc? Ihad version 1 or something that I had registered, and then I updated to 3xxx, and it automatically had the new version as regestered? Anyone know what I need to do to get it the new version to install so that it is regestered? It doesn' allow me to add my reg key anwhere?

From your description, it sounds like you installed a newer version, then attempted to install an older version?
Many times an owner of older software can upgrade to a newer version free. However, there usually comes a time when your key is no longer valid in new versions. You bought a license for v1.x, not a lifetime license for all versions (at least in most cases that is how it works). I suspect the newer version you are trying to use is not the same version you had running before.
Try contacting copytodvd and see what the latest version is that will accept your license.Google is your Friend -
Both versions are the very same I had running before.
Old PC first had copytocd v.1.0.0.68(which i regestered), then I upgraded to copytocd 3.0.45(never need to regester because the key carried over to that version).
New PC Installed copyotocd v1.0.0.68, entered key(program said thanks for regestering), then I installed copytocd v3.0.45 (as I did previously) and it doesn't get unlocked? Says I have 12 days to try the software? Just seems weird, that it's not working since they are the same versions as before and installed the same way, yet the updateed version won't get regestered, and there is no place to type in the key in the newer version....What We Do In Life, Echoes In Eternity.... -
Did you install over the old version or to a new location. Most upgrades expect you to install over the old.
You could uninstall and start over.
It is also possible that there is junk left behind in the registry which needs to be cleaned. Try the uninstall and reinstall and if that doesn't work then uninstall again and look for traces of the program in the registry.
Contacting the author is a good idea. If it's a bug they would appreciate knowing about it.
