Bought a Sony Mini DV that came with Picture Package 1.5. No problem downloading to PC. Opens in ImageMixer VCD 2. PC can't burn a CD. PC has Lite-ON Combo SOHC-4836V. Talked to a Sony rep. who directed me to their Picture Package web-site to get a drive. Problem is the Lite-ON Combo SOHC-4836V wasn't on their list. Sony rep suggested finding a different burner software. Need to know specifically which burner software will do the job.

  2. What kind of media are you trying to burn to and what format? e.g., CD-R and VCD, or DVD-R and MPEG2?

Way back when I used to burn VCDs (2-3 years ago), I used VCDEasy which worked well.

Can you use this software to directly burn a CD using the *.PVD file that was created by the Imagemixer VCD2 software?

I used to use this too and there is a Trial Version of VCDEasy rich1980 if you want test to see if it supports .PVD files. It also has a lot of features for compiling (S)VCD movies.

    Why not DVD?

This is so retro. There are valid reasons to be using CD for video but they are so rare and usually assume some kind of authoring or powerpoint knowledge.

PVD file? Are you a spammer?
What is the legit use of a *.PVD file?
