I have several film avi's which play perfectly well, however after using Nero Vision to covert and burn the avi's to DVD, the backround music of the film becomes very loud and the sound of the characters speaking is so low it is barely audible. Is there anything I need to do to fix this problem?

What format was the AVI audio in? Drop one in Gspot 2.60 and check. If it was AC3 or multichannel, Nero may have converted it wrong. You don't need to convert AC3, just demux it from the AVI and add back with the DVD MPEG-2 video when authoring.

Or if it's MP3, demux it with VirtualDub Mod and drop it into the freeware audio editor Audacity and adjust it there. You can output as MP3 by adding the Lame MP3 codec then mux it back in with the AVI before using Nero.

Or try ConvertXToDVD as it usually handles those type of conversions better than Nero.

    And welcome to our forums.
