    If i use multipass I get "CCE encoding failed: get frame failed"
    and if if I do CBR actually the same thing happens

    Have you tried putting in the setting of the exact length of the clip you want: Options --> General --> Compiling Time

    rather than leave it on "entire file"?

    Yes tried that too, didn't help. Any suggetstion on some other plugin that uses VBR?
