  1. I just installed 0.0.9u (but this is also true under 0.0.9t), installed reallib in Library/Application Support/ffmpegX, and then tried to load a Real Video. I comes up with From REAL, but No video and No audio, I can't Get Info or Play. Any help? Here is the clip info:

  2. Never Mind - I was using a bad reallib (the current one) I realized that major had listed a link to a stable build, I downloaded that, installed it and that did it!

    Sorry!

I tried to load a real video (tried both rm and rmvb) but it can't seem to get Info or Play it in ffmpegX. It does NOT come up with From REAL (still shows Drop Files Here), and shows No Video and No Audio. I have searched throughout this forum and am sure I've downloaded all the necessary..not sure why ffmpegX cannot read my real video files.....pls help. Thank you

Did you try to rename your file from .rmvb to .rm ?

Yes I did. Still could not read the Real files. I'm using ffmpegX 0.0.9x for my Mac OS X ver 10.3.9. Is there another version of ffmpegX? i have the reallib binaries (47 files) already but nothing seem to work. sigh

  6. First, I assume that it plays in RealPlayer?

Next, I assume that it is a movie and not a stream/URL?

If it does play in RealPlayer, can you get the Clip Info (Apple-I), and then relay what you get (make sure to get both data streams if there are two.

    Here it is:

    Codec: 64 Kbps Stereo Music - RealAudio(Real Audio 8)
    Protocol: Local
    Encoded: 65 Kbps
    Current: 0 Kbps

    Codec: Real Video 9
    Protocol: Local
    Encoded: 898 Kbps
    Current: 0 Kbps

    Thanks

  8. Well, that seems on the surface of things to be legitimate. The only idea I have is that the reallib installation is bad. The version I am using (found in /Library/Application Support/ffmpegX/reallib) is DEVELOPER RELEASE 5 :: 20031909 :: Client_1-1-5_DevRel (from the README.txt).

If that is what you have, then my suggestion would be to completely uninstall ffmpegX (remove the application and /Library/Application Support/ffmpegX, and , and carefully go through the download and reinstallation process. Or, just start again with a new download from the ffmpegX website of the reallibs and see if that works first.

Pain in the neck, I know.
