problem with rmvb to mp4 avc

Im trying to convert rmvb files to mp4 avc(for PSP) but everytime I convert the sound is messed up.. its off.. I used XVid4PSP... Is there a way to fix this or another program?

Most programs have problems with the variable frame rate video in RMVB files. Use Avisynth's DirectShowSource() with the convertfps argument. It's discussed in this thread:

I haven't looked at it for a long time but EOVideo (commercial product) was one of the few commercial products that could handle RMVB without A/V sync problems. I don't know if it will output to MP4 with AVC though.
