    I use vlc and i have directvobsub as well but i cant play srt sub with the wmv video file with vlc or windows media player? what is the reason?

    AFAIK WMV doesn't supports subs, only hardcoded ones.

    directvobsub works fine with wmv and srt using Media Player Classic.
