    looking for an all in 1 encoder something that will convert (avi-mpg-mepg-dvix-xvid) to DVD and burn it

    There are pretty much two of these converters that are recomended here. The first would be ConvertX2dvd and the 2nd would be SVCD2DVD.
    I recommend giving SVCD2DVD a try. Firstly, it will not re-encode mpegs if they are DVD compliant. Also you can adjust what the output resolution will be, somewhat. I use it and out put all of my DVD's to 352x480 resolution as opposed to 720x480. This can be adjusted in your registry file.
    ConvertX2DVD is stuck at 720x480 resolution and it will re-encode mpeg files regardless of whether they are DVD compliant.
    ConvertX2dvd does have an advantage over SVCD2DVD in that you can make a DVD with more than one menu page.
    I suggest giving both a try and see which one floats your boat.
