    Hello all

Here is my situation. I've transferred home video to my PC. I've used Premiere to edit the video. Now, I'm not sure the best way to get my stuff onto a DVD. (I have looked for suitable guides)

Using premiere, I'm able to export my work to a number of formats. I choose to use the mpeg2 encoder, native to Premiere.

So I now have my file output to .M2V
(I don't believe this contains Audio, so I've also exported the audio as a wave file)

Am I ready to burn a DVD? Have I done it properly? With separate files, can I expect any issues syncing video and audio? I'm so confused with demuxing and remuxing, and frame-serving and other stuff mentioned over and over again, that I'm not sure if there are other steps that I need to take.

Thanks in advance for any help

You've got most of the way.

The M2V should be just video.
Hopefully it's a standard DVD ratio: 720x480 most likely but other sizes are possible. (Look at the "What is DVD" links for specs.)

If the video and audio file together total less than 4.6 GB, you should be able to use them to make a DVD video.

Many ways. One simple way to make a single feature disk:
    Get ReJig.
    Select "DVD Author"
Choose your video and audio files.
    Choose a destination folder.
    Click "Create".

Use your burning software to burn the resulting VIDEO_TS folder.

If you have Nero, use "Burn DVD Video Files"
    Or get ImgBurn freeware.

If your files are too big together, but your video is 4 GB or less, convert the WAV audio to AC3 or MP2.

More complex projects (multiple titles), use for instance GuiForDVDAuthor.
