Hi
Whats the best tool for authoring these altogether.I ran them through tmpGEnc on 2 pass vbr setting, choose subtitle stream i wanted in ffdshow, but on second pass when finishing the subtitle stream was not showing as choosen. That tells me i have to choose the subtitle stream on second pass again, something i dont have time to do is sit around waiting for 2 hours to have to manually choose te sub stream again. Also with the sub file i have tried saving them as srt,but subtitle workshop wont accept and states invalid, this also happens in avidemux. Both these tools say they accept sub,but to date i have never got any to work!!!Anyway would be greatfull for a freeware solution that i can add all the relevant files to and go away and return to see everything is ok.I know i can search but i would like advice from people that have trusted fail safe(well 99%) ways of doing this.
Thanks in advance

On a related note ... I'm still using TMPGEnc DVD Author 2.x ... this version does NOT support "soft" subtitles ... but version 3.x does ... but in what format?
I've never found an easier-to-use DVD authoring solution than TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5/1.6 and now 2.x but I have been putting off upgrading to 3.x so news of what subtitle formats it supports and how well it does so would be interesting to me and also perhaps to the originator of this thread.

Sorry,,i was browsing to the wrong folder for the sup file.I now have them selected am going to try the conversion now..
Edit ok the process was very quick, but the subtitles have came out to the far right of the picture?
You cant see them but they are where the two hands are,but you can only see the begining of the sentence..The m2v is 352 x 576 (is that half d-1),could that be the problem why?
Are there any other settings here i should add?
