Hi,
I have a music video in AVI format.
I used a programme called AVI DivX to DVD SVCD VCD Converter V1.3.2
and converted the AVI to DVD files.
It creates 2 files : m2v which is the video file and a mpa, audio file.
I then use Ifo edit to create DVD files. This all happens successfully.
I then burn the files with Nero. The result is all very good.
One problem : The end result when I play it in the DVD creates a kind of pause in the picture every few seconds, but the audio is fine and appears to run in tune with the video, opposed to a lapse.
I converted to PAL and then tried NSTC but the result was the same.
My train of thought is that the initial AVI programme is not so good, but I'm really not sure. I'm not too advanced on all this and it's my 1st attempt at trying to create a DVD from AVI.
I also tried DivX, converted the file and burnt it, but it wouldn't play on my DVD player.
Any suggestions out there based upon what I've written?
Thanks !

What is the source avi frame rate? Identify it with latest gspot or avi2clipboard or mediainfo.
Try convert to same frame rate to avoid jerky playback. PAL = 25ps, NTSC = 23.976 or 29.97ps.
And try converting with something else like DivXtoDVD(free) or the new ConvertXtodvd. -
Apologies.
I concentrated and noticed similar questions posted here. I'll continue reading through them ... a good response was made on one posting of 24 Nov by Fulcilives which I think should give me a point to start experimenting !
