Ok, I am thinking about buying this device, and after reading a lot of posts, have these questions from those who know;
1 - by using the SM capture utility, can you cap directly to S(X)VCD?
2 - Do you just use TMPENc for converting audio form 44khz to 48khz? (if you want dvd compliant).
3 - any problems with via motherboards (p4 or amd)?
4 - any problems with AMD cpu? (other than via).
5 - Can you still use your sound card line in for other sound work (assuming you put your capture sound source to the sound in jack on the ADS BOX).
I think that does it...

That you. I have already been there, and I could not find the answers to the specific questions listed above.
Most people love it. A few have problems with A/V sync, but not too many. There seems to be a few issues when applying the patches of VS5.
Other than that, it seems to be a great device.
I KNOW some of the people who post here have this device, and I wanted them to answer these specific questions.
TIA
