  1. So, I took an avi that I had captured via a tv tuner card, and I put it through AVI2DVD. I followed a guide I found on this site, and I went through input, output, encoding, I set chapters(in seconds), I made a menu, and then I started the job. It took a while, but the job got done, and following the instructions in the guide, I burned the ISO file it had left behind to a DVD+R disc with DVD Decrypter. I put the DVD+R in my DVD player connected to my TV, and instead of seeing the menu I created, the DVD Player gives me an in-built menu where it just shows the VIDEO_TS and AUDO_TS folders on the disc. If I go in the VIDEO_TS folder, I can play the VOB files inside of it, but THIS IS NOT THE WAY IT WAS SUPPOSED TO WORK.

What did I do wrong? Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

AVI2dvd might not make a correct iso file. You can try extract the video_ts from the iso and reburn with something else like imgburn or nero burning rom and select to create a dvd-video.

Or try some other all-in-one tool instead dvdflick, diko, thefilmmachine, divxtodvd.

Or try a trialware all-in-one software like convertxtodvd, ulead dvd moviefactory, nerovision, etc.

Or encode, author and burn with separate tools.
