Hi everyone,
I did try to search the forum, and I was not able to come up with much, but her is my issue.
I have a Sony DCR-TRV 240 Digital 8 camcorder. I noticed that once before when I hooked it into my TV for playback the audio stuttered. So I changed it to mono output and it seems to work after that. Everything was fine on my TV and PC after that. Recently, when capturing to my PC through a firewire cable to a firewire card, I get bad stuttering when capturing to Adobe Premier.
I tried to play with the a/v out settings going from stereo to channel one, then 2. No matter what the setting, the playback stutters badly. However, if i play it back on the camcorder itself, the sound is proper. This leads me to believe the playback is the issue and the tapes are fine. Any ideas what might cause that or are there any settings in Adobe Premier that I can set to record in mono or something?
I am at a loss and i don't even see Digital 8 camcorders for sale and I have alot of video of my kids to go through yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
