Bought Nero 7 about a year ago to make copies of my dvds before going overseas. Never had any problems. But now when I've tried burning dvds the audio cuts out about 5-10min into the movie. Using DVD decryptor to copy the dvd to my hard drive. Not sure if the files arn't being copied properly or if somethings wrong with Nero or the original DVD itself. Movie I'm trying to copy is Band of Brothers. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

You should try using either :

1: Pgcedit + all required addon's for ripping late title's
    2: Dvdfab

Dvddecryter is nolonger updated , and dosent handle the new method's employed to protect content .

I prefer "1" , as it allow's user choice , and if there are any problems after ripping the content to hd , it's very quick to fix .

tried using DVDshrink last night, hoping that it would shrink the files down and make a difference with the audio. Didn't know that dvd shrink also burns dvds. Just previewed the end result and from what I saw it worked perfectly. Even have the original menus and extras. Not the BS I've been getting with Nero. Like I said before I used DVDdecrypt a year ago and it worked fine, guess its going in the trash now.

DVD Shrink doesn't do the burning. It will use Nero by default or you can set it to use DVD Decrypter for burning. I use a modified version that automatically uses the newer ImgBurn to burn the DVD.

You can use that combination with RipIt4Me to back up just about any newer DVD out there. And it's fairly easy, also. Link to the modified DVD Shrink and ImgBurn: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869
