  1. I'm having some problems with some video files that I can't figure out. While playing those files, the volume leves oscilate drastically, from very low levels to deafening high volume. I tried installing a new version of AC3 Filter, but no use.

    Suggestions?

Are the signals clear at both volume extremes? AC-3 can have a very wide dynamic range which can be compressed.

  3. Sorry, but I don't know much about technical issues. Yes, I can clearly understand everything at both volumes extremes, if that's what you're asking.

You need a volume compression filter. I think audacity (free) has one built in.

PS: maybe someone knows of one that will work directly with AC-3.
