Hi everyone.
When it comes to my Hi8 tapes - I have no problem using and SVIDEO to do the capturing.
However, My Panasonic NV-220 VHS Player does not have an SVIDEO connection, only RCA(component?).
I am converting PAL VHS tapes to PAL DV using my Canopus ADVC110. Are there any significant problems using RCA over SVIDEO?

If you are happy with the final quality, this should be no problem.
If you get an S-VHS VHS and capture through S-VIDEO the results will be better. -
The ADVC does a good job With Y/C separation. The only alternative is to get a S-VHS player that has S-Video outputs.
