I just downloaded the registered version of 2.1 (Build 2.1.2474).
I have a large (9gig) MPG file created with CapVHS. I can watch the whole movie using Windows Media Player. But when I try to drag it to the asset area, it raises an exception (see below).
I have renamed the file from .MPG to .TS and it does the same thing. Smaller files (200 meg) add fine. Is there a size limit? Do I need to recapture this movie in smaller chunks?

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Shouldn't bee a problem with file size. Can you load the mpeg in gspot and attach and image of the output so we can see what the files is?

I found and loaded GSpot. If I choose file open it shows the file path and size, then this under Container:

    File Type: MPEG-2 Transport Stream
    Mime Type: video/mp2t

Everything else is blank. Is there an option I need to choose to show more data?

I loaded the smaller files (created the same way) and they show the exact same info in GSpot.

Not sure it helps, but if I use HDTV2DVD instead of SVCD2DVD it just ignores that .TS file being dropped in the assets. No error, nothing put in the log, just ignores it. The smaller TS file (a snippet of the movie recorded the same way) adds fine in both programs.
WMP 10 plays both files fine.

I had errors loading an asset once. After a 'VideoReDo quick fix' on the problem video file, fix my problem.

YES! Thank you. That fixed it.
I downloaded the trial version of VideoRedo Pro, requested a trial key and ran the QuickFix on the file, now it will add correctly to SVCD2DVD's assets.
