  1. Hi all,
I am trying to work out what is the most real to life aspect ratio to use, i mean 4:3 you look fat and short, 16:9 you look slim and tall.
So what is the best aspect ratio to use so it looks closest to real life as possible? or is their an aspect ratio that your eye see?

    Thankyou josel

Without a context, that is a meaningless question.

    What is your source ?
    What is your target ?
What will you watch it on ?

4:3, 16:9 and 1:1 are all valid. You have to know when to use them.

The ratio that the image was created in.

If you have a 16:9 image and play it back at 16:9, it'll look normal. If you play a 4:3 image at 16:9 it'll be stretched wide.

If you really can't tell what it should be, look for objects that should be perfect circles or squares and try changing the viewing ratio until they are correct.

There's an infinite number of possible ratios, but in practice most are either 4:3 or 16:9, or close enough to pass.
