    Go to http://keepvid.com/
You can save your videos from there. They're probably be in the flv format. You can use Super to convert to something else.

    Look here: http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/YouTube_Google_Download_FLV_to_AVI_page1.html

There are a couple of more. Do a guide search for 'youtube'.

You can paste youtube link here:

    http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php

press 'enter' and you'll get a button with direct link, then write .flv extension to d/l file.

PodTube is a program that can download YouTube videos to iTunes/iPod in 1 click. Free and works with Safari.

Once the file has been downloaded, it is then re-encoded into a mp4 file. Depending on the file size, this may take a while. The flv that is originally downloaded can be viewed with a flash viewer such as http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/28763.

You can use Perian (Quicktime plugin) to allow the flv files to be viewed directly in Quicktime.

STF for "terryj, perian" I just posted the link a week or so ago.
    Also search versiontracker.com for it.

    What you do:
Use Firefox 1.5.07 or greater, and install the VideoDownloader plugin.
Install Perian into the QT Plug ins folder.
Use Firefox to snag the Youtube vids using video downloader
    ( two clicks)
    save to desktop.
tag as .flv, open in QT.

    works great.
