Currently I'm using Fraps to record some footage, every program I open my video files in they look pretty good, then I open them into pinnacle and the quality takes a massive dive, everything becomes blurry, and you can't read any of the text. The files I am using are uncompressed Fraps files (cause I can't figure out how to compress them) so I don't really know why the graphics would take a hit if anyone knows why Pinnacle is making the video quality drops this bad please help me out.

What resolution are the Fraps files? Video quality will take a hit going from 'Computer' resolutions (1024 x768??) to 'Video' (720 x 480).

well seeing as how fraps gives you kinda limited ways to record it I'm doing full-size is there a program that works better than virtual dub cause I have no idea how to compress video formats in that

  4. There are lots of VirtualDub guides in the Guides section.

But what do you want to do? Just make your AVI file smaller? Making a DVD?
