Ok Im a newbie, I have a question about capturing video. I just bought the Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge. I have a sony camcorder Hi-8 non digital. Im trying to make some half way good looking vcd's. When I capture files to my HD in the DV format they look like crap. Im using the Mainactor DV-capture which came with the dazzle. The video looks great when I hook the cam up to the TV but when I capture it to the PC it looks like crap, PLus the vcd dont look much better.....I have a 900 P3 with 512 ram plenty of HD space...Please help what im I doing wrong
Please get back to me on this, if you need more information I will be ready to answer your questions
Thanks Again
Brian

i also have a dv bridge and the software that comes with it sucks,i have been using pinnacle 7 and it works fine.try this, capt to dv then use tmpgenc to convert to mpeg 1 or 2 and burn to a cd+rw.do just a couple of min on a cd+rw that you know works on your stand alone or on your computer and see how that works out.use the how to convert stuff to the left.i know tmpgenc is slow but it works very well and you might have to play with bit rate and stuff to get good results on your comp untill you can get some decent software. later boatman
