I have two DVP 642's. One is connected to my main TV via component cables into a Denon receiver. The other is connected directly to a TV in my bedroom via RCA jacks. When I burn a CD containing MP3's, it plays fine on the player in my bedroom. But when I try to play the same CD on the 642 connected to my Denon receiver I cannot get it to play. It plays DVD movies fine but not MP3 CD's. Can someone provide any information on why it may be doing this? Thanks!

  2. Might this Dennon reciever be connected optically to the DVP-642?

Might this Dennon reciever also be used to decode Dolby Digital during DVD playback?

A Dolby Digital decoder won't be able to make heads or tails of any MP3 file.
