  1. I can't get my DVD/Recorder to find any channels after setup other than 4,16,Line 1 and Line 2. I can get it to record the station that i'm currently watching but when i change stations it records them also. how do you set it so it will record a station while i'm watching another one?
    Thanks, Jim

You need a dual tuner recorder to watch one program while recording another. From your description, you only have a single tuner unit.

  3. Put a $5 RF splitter on the cable/TV line, and then feed them to your recorder and TV.

Seems like a waste of time and money. Most recorders work just like VCR's. When you are recording, you just press the "TV/VCR" button, which allows the TV to tune a different channel while the VCR/recorder is recording the channel selected by the VCR/recorder.

In my post earlier, I was thinking cable/SAT DVR, where a dual tuner is required.
