  3. well im using a normal vcr Pal/Secam 6 head(brand new ,4 months old)
it can read ntsc so it's not pure ntsc vcr yeah

Some people tell me that this color bar reflects a problem with "the horizontal chroma" which need a fix

Is there a way to fix that if i open my vcr?

& I got this problem with every single ntsc vhs with pal everything is ok same for secam

I use the composite wire & my card which is not old too is a terratec cinergy 250 pci, philips chipset

Well, I have an idea. Are you trying to copy commercial NTSC tapes? Most commercial NTSC videotapes use Macrovision to prevent copying. Maybe you are actually having problems with Macrovision. Can you watch the tape on your TV and if yes, does it look OK? If yes, then I'd say you have a Macrovision problem. If you can't watch the tape on your TV, then maybe your VCR doesn't really play NTSC.

  6. Yeah those are commercial vhs tapes, BUT, the problem can be also seen with "amateur" NTSC vhs tapes ,so i don't think it's a macrovision problem at all.

I have no clue of what's causing this ugly color bar to appear really.

I'll spend more time to figure out i guess :/
