i'm getting a dvd player which has already been comfirmed to play xvid..
now, it also plays dvd-r, dvd+r, mpg, etc..it plays it all..
so the question i have is, can i burn a dvd-r with multiple xvid files and have my dvd player play them..? in other words, can it work like a cdr filled with mp3 files..where you can scroll through the songs and pick which one to play..
    any info would help

  2. You said it "has already been confirmed to play xvid" so that answers your question about playing xvid.

Regarding the User Interface for how you can control what it plays, the User Manual ought to clear up any questions along those lines. Hopefully you were able to obtain one prior to deciding to get the DVD Player?

Most players just list the files on the disc. You then just arrow down/up to the file you want and press play.

...and most players play data from DVD. However, some only play data CD (be it mp3 or avi or jpg or whatever), not data DVD. (...expecting any DVD it sees to be a Video DVD, and rejects a data DVD as a faulty Video DVD)
