    How do i turn the anti virus off?
    It keeps showing as on even though im not running one but i want it to display off because its preventing me from being able to access certain progs.

    Control Panel>Security Center. You can disable the warning, if that's your problem, by clicking 'Change the way Security Center alerts me' to the left on that page. If you wanted to turn off your AV, you would do that from the program.

    I hope those are safe programs you are accessing. Running without a AV these days seems a little risky.

    im using nod32 and its not very good because all i can do is quit it, it wont tell me about disabling it.

    uninstall nod32 and get the free avg programs, they work very well and are light on system resources.
