I don't use TFM, so this is just on general principle.

    From your log,
while TFM is running it should create
    1) an AC3 file with Besweet
    2) an M2V file with Quenc

then multiplexes them. This is where the error comes up and no MPEG is made.
I've had something similar when either the video or audio encoding failed, and so there was nothing to multiplex with.

If you watch the folders TFM uses for its files, you should see it create the AC3 and M2V file. Probably it deletes them when its done, but you can see at least how large they are -- if either is zero size or appears and disappears immediately, that's narrowed the problem down.

You could also try using the apps directly instead of through TFM's interface. E.g., use Besweet to make an AC3, QuEnc to make an M2V and see if they work like that.

    Thanks ALanHK

I tried running Quenc on its own, it gets so far then shuts down, same as previously using TFM

the 2 files you mentioned appear to only be 1kb file size.

    i permanently confused !!!!!!

If neither video and audio can be convrted, perhaps something is wrong with the source AVI file.
Can you play that on your PC?

Check it out with GSpot and post a screenshot -- mask out the filename if you like.

Does TFM work on your other AVI files?
