  5. I've got build 2 running on my other pc right now. it's at about 40% with CCE and no probs yet. I'm using single pass vbr to see if that will help it out. it will be done in about 2-3 hours. hopefully the single pass will work so I at least have something to work with until the author of dvd2svcd figures something out.

  6. @nfl2k2: What a load of crap to say. It's still only a few who has problems. Get your facts straight!

  7. sorry I just didn't see many people having any success with it.

  8. Sorry, I don't know where you get your information from. I know many people )also at domm9s) who had success with the new version.
The problem is not in DVD2SVCD but in CCE.
The author is investigating the problem, but not because it's in his program but to find a workaround for the bug in CCE.
Your attempt with 1Pass will be ok, because the problem is only in multi-pass-vbr.
If you want to have an older version, mail me. I got some of them on my harddisk, I could send you 1.0.1 to 1.0.5 if you want. But I'm almost sure this won't help you anything, because the CCE-bug was also in older versions. I too had it sometimes with some movies, but I don't see any rule when it happens and when not.
BTW: I think it's not fair to say 'with the newer versions of dvd2svcd it seems liek nothink will work'. It's not true. Maybe its not working for you, and surte there are some movies which make problems, but most time it works very well.

  9. worked like a charm for me....with a lil (ok a LOT) of help from sefy i just gotta get that damn CCE logo off the screen and the picture is a bit shaky. besides that it's all good. much props to dvd2svcd. its the only prog i seen that you just configure and go to sleep. when u wake up you are ready to burn the .bin or .cue files.

fellas any suggestions on how to get that loogo off of CCE 2.5? or the pic being a bit shaky?

  10. It generally disappears after you part with more than $2000

  11. It was working for me back in october and november. Then I got some DVDs for chirstmas and tried the newer versions and it doesn't work. It doesn't really matter though because I like the single pass vbr better (it only takes 3-4 hours which is really nice). sorry for all the trouble.

  12. nfl2k2, you are full of crap. DVD2SVCD work as a charm. Get your machine working, get some experience and then come back to flame. DVD2SVCD is an excelent soft, and the man puts all he has in it. Do some contribution, and if you canīt, go make your on soft.

I have tried DVD2SVCD, and I have decided to stick to it.

This is a great piece of software. I have used all versions of TMPGEnc and DVDx, and I am impressed with the functionality of DVD2SVCD. (and the quality of CCE)

All software I have seen only support a part of the process, this "unique" piece of work combines the best of them.
    For DVD2SVCD: we salute you.

IS THERE MUCH OF A TIME DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VBR AND CBR? I KNOW VBR HAS TO DO AT LEAST 2 PASSES BUT APART FROM THAT.

I HAVE NOT NOTICED A REAL TIME DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VBR AND CBR.
YOU CAN DO VBR ALSO IN 1 PASS.

Build 4 has a bug. When you rip subtitles, you can get the "incorrect parameter" message, and DVD2SVCD stops.

In version 1.06 build 1 this bug is fixed. :P
