  1. I'm not sure the best way to go about it, and I'm looking for help/suggestions. I want to record a football game using my Hauppauge 150MCE card (MPEG2) and at the same time will record the radio call of the same game (wma). The goal is to make a DVD of the game with option of listened to the radio file instead of the TV audio.

The part I'm struggling with is how to cut the commercials out of both files yet still have the radio audio match the video. VideoReDo creates a text file that has the times of the portions that will be deleted. Is there an audio program I can copy and paste to edit the same as the video.

Has anyone ever done this before? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't done exactly what you are trying to do, but I have done similar projects before. My preferred environment for this would be something like Vegas, where I can cut the audio up as required and match visually as well as aurally. It can be time consuming initially, but it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours.

In Ulead VideoStudio that is an easy project. I've did it before in wedding videos when using video from two cameras and audio from a dedicated recorder with mics.

First build the video timeline. The video will have the original audio already matching. Drag the aux audio onto the audio timeline and crop/cut/adjust as necessary. You can cut-up the video (splice) at proper times and either mute or decrease the volume (as you need) then adjust the aux audio in-out points and/or volume then slide it back and forth to match the video.

Very easy to do, very hard to explain.

    Good luck.
