Hello everyone
I have recently bought a Phillips 3360k dvd player which is a quite decent player, I am trying to use it with the RGB connection but the problem is that I only get the video without any sound (I am using the A/V cable to get the sound LR) can you please help me.
PS : it's the first time that I am using the RGB on a old CRT monitor.

The "RGB" connection is component video (3 video signals, no audio). You need to use red and white RCA audio cables in addition to the component cable. If you are using all 5 connectors and still not getting sound, your TV may not be set to receive audio from the RCA audio inputs, or the player may not be set to output audio on the RCA outputs.

Thank you for your answer but this is what I have done but it doesn't seem to work ??? I know it is really strange. 115 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?"

Thank you, in other ways it means that I just have a shi**y TV. 115 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?"

No. That is to be expected. Up until the advent of HDMI, ALL connections were were Video only or Audio only (well, except SCART, but then I'm a North American, so what do you expect).

Just continue using how you have it set up and you should be happy for now.

Thanks to all of you I've found the solution, it just happens that my TV has 3 A/V connection and that I was using the front ones, It's odd but using the rear ones resolved the problem. 115 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?"

Most TVs have multiple inputs. You have to feed the same input with all your signals.
