    I converted an avi to mpg using Nero Recode export option. My result videos lag very bad when I play it on wmp or winamp and move the slider to another part of the video, it freezes.

    The orginal is 720x512 avi, Ive tried 352x240, 704x480 mpeg1's, even with different bitrates up to 3000 but same lag. Any guesses?

    Try a different and better conversion tool....Nero should be your last choice.

    Loos in the HOW TO - CONVERT section to the left.
