Hey, i'v got a question - Whats the best format to stream audio online, using the least space and resources? As far as i'v seen up until now, FLV and SWF are in the lead, however, i am open for new suggestions.

    Thanks

For sound streams, there's also Real formats (waits for other members of the forum to start throwing tomatoes ). If you don't mind drops in quality, you can create relatively small streams. I'm not sure about resource requirements, though.

I suspected as much, but do they still use the old RealAudio lossy formats?

ven0z: I guess I should ask: what is your target audience? (types of systems, etc.) Not all platforms have good support for SWF/FLV.
