Is it possible to extract the audio from my home dvd of a wedding and re encode to a different format. The reason i ask is that my wedding dvd audio was encoded using mpeg1 layer2 and will not play audio on the standalone.
If it is possible what software is needed and will i loose all the menus and chapters that are on the dvd??

1. Pgcdemux the dvd to video and audio files.
2. Convert the mpeg audio to ac3 with ffmpeg gui or use tmpgenc dvd author with the ac3 plugin.
3. Author back to a new dvd with muxman or use Tmpgenc DVD Author and add the old video and the new audio.
