hi guys ive just upgraded my machine to an AMD dual core 4200, seems fast enough i just finished installing the software last night, and thought i would do a quick test to see how quick it could encode a video clip, it didnt seem any quicker than my old machine, does anybody know if there is an encoding program that takes advantage of dual core, also i read somwhere that dvd shrink can use this technology is this right.
Thanks

Shrink tends to use as much resources as it can, I noticed a big difference when I went to an AMD X2 CPU.

TMPGEnc, CCE, and just about every other commercial MPEG2 encoder.
