I was wondering if anyone could help.

I have a Standard Definition Panasonic 'Viera' Plasma Television.

Is there anything to gained from connecting a High Definition Set Top Box as opposed to a Standard Definition Set Top Box.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

it would look slightly better - but not by much as EDTV 's are pretty low res. to start with .......

the panasonic plasma's are an awesome good pic though - specially the new 9th generation panels (i have one (the HD model) that just came out) -- equal to my pioneer elite i would say in many respects ...

I would get an HDTV bow simply to future proof yourself a little. Most can output SD as well anyway.

I hope you don't live in the country though, as digital broadcasts outside the major metro areas is still pretty crap.
