I have a philips dvd player that plays vcd's no problem, but will not play svcd's. Unless the format confirms to the "Chinese" version/format ??
What the hell is this ??? I have seen in some apps VCDEASY that there is a check box for updateing the scan offsets for the chinese format, but i have never heard of thi s format, anybody got any info on this ??
Is there a setting in TMPGE encoder to allow this ??
Any help woul dbe helpful..

In TSCV (GUI for VCDImager) there are an option that
" Enables the use of the (deprecated) chinese '/SVCD/TRACKS.SVD' "
Try authoring with TSCV and checking that.
i tink it might help.
Well, I am the slime from your video.

...or you mean CVD (Chaoji VCD)?
If your player support SVCD, then it also supports CVD
