    I recently acquired Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 6 and it will not open my wmv files. Since all my footage has been captured to Windows XP using their movie editor this is a severe problem. On another forum it had been suggested that this problem occurs due to permissions for files being closed to Vegas with recent updates of Windows XP. There was a small download which purported to fix this problem, but it didn't. Neither does making all my movies sharefiles. So I am keen to use my Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 6 but cannot.

    Try downloading the windows media 9 codecs from microsoft to see if that helps.
