Since I switched from XP to Windows 7 I had to install Sony Vegas Pro. 9.0 again. I also used the opportunity to updated the version to 9.0e. But I now have the problem that when I open an existing .veg file and the path for an asset link can't be found, it no longer gives me the option to search for that asset, like it did with the previous installation. I now have to manually specify the new location of the asset. Is this behavior normal? I wonder if this has something to do with either Windows 7 or the 9.0e update?

I'm going to say that it's probably the updated version not allowing you to open your previous files. When I installed Vegas 9.0 on my computer that runs on Windows 7 it wasn't allowing me to edit .avi files. I had to download and install a .avi to .mpeg converter before I could edit anything. Now everything is working out perfectly. http://www.youtube.com/user/TheCherryChurch#p/a
