DVP642 vs DVP3040

Hey i have a DVP640 and i was thinking about upgrading to the 3040 because thats the only model other then the 642 thats they sell here in canada instore. I was just wondering which is better. I play mostly divx and xvid and dvds. i was looking for the DVP5960 but couldnt find anywhere online that shipped to canada and accepted paypal.

Without even reading any of the links, I would suspect the 5960 is the better player. The 642 is older and from many other postings here, the new version of the 642 has more issues than the original.
