Hi,
I have a avi file about 730MB but i need to reduce that file about 50/60MB to put in a DVD thogether with other files and to fit all in one dvd i need to reduce the size of one of them.
How can i do that, i just want to reduce about 50/60MB of size of avi.
I now that it problaby it can be done with virtual dub but i dont now how to.
Ab«ny one can help me?

Easiest route would be to use AutoGK (which in turn uses VirtualDub IIRC) and set the output file size to suit your needs.

It sounds more like the OP is looking to do a data DVD, not video DVD..
Perhaps you can do a direct stream copy and cut the end credits and/or intro to achieve the size you want?
Load file -> Make sure Video>Direct stream copy is set -> Set mark in/Mark out points -> File>Save as.. and done..If it's a feature length film (or similar) with the usual long-ish end credits, you can probably kill that and not have to recompress - hence further reducing the video quality. -
If there's problem fitting x minutes of video as AVI on a disc, it sure wont fit when converted to Video DVD compliant mpg (at any reasonable quality level).
