Here's the situation. I'm going to be goingf all over Europe within the next year. I'm going to bring with me a laptop with a DVD burner and a video camera that records sidreclt yo DVD. SInce I live in North America the camcorder will be NTSC.
When I go to Europe I want to be able to play PAL and NTSC DVDs in this portable DVD player and output it to a PAL TV set. WHen I come back to the states and do some travelling, I want ot be able to output that same PAL junk to an NTSC set.
Why? Because when I go all over Europe I'm going to come back with all sorts of DVDs. Mostally family weddings and the like. Same when I'm in the states. I have family everywhere.

    Is there such an animal?
I understand the region free stuff. So in short I need to be able to play PAL/NTSC and output it to NTSC and PAL.

Quick question for both of you...
My main issue it output. What type of signal can it output? Is it switchable?

I have seen the phillips around here.

Oh yeah... what i mean is I want to be able to put the picture on a TV, not just the puny LCD.
